The 'add to list' search does not find this work for me: http://www.librarything.com/work/17288395/details/127039615
Any help appreciated, thanks.

>1 Becchanalia: Sorry to hear you're having trouble. Add to list search can be a little finicky. Depending on how recently you added this book to your library, it can take some time to show up in Add to list search—it shouldn't be more than 1 hour, max, though. Can you tell us what search terms you're using?

Entered 2016-02-17. No other members, doesn't show in site search.

I chatted with developers about this issue, and we had to slow down site search stuff recently to deal with some related bugs, and things are still catching up. Word from them is to wait a couple more days, and try again. I'll check back on Wednesday myself to see if it's resolved, and, if not, I'll pester them again.

Thanks for that - I had the impression from what they'd said that it was just regenerating some indexes and was a temporary measure, not a permanent slowdown.

>7 lorax: I don't think it's permanent, but it's definitely still in place for now. Waiting for Tim to get back to me on whether/when things will speed up again.

Thanks all! I added it about a week ago and have been frustrated by it ever since. I tried many search terms: title (with colon and subtitle, without colon or subtitle, with subtitle but no colon...) author, ISBN... I didn't rate it very highly anyway so it can wait ;-)
Thanks again!
Thanks again!

Site search is still not finding a lot of the common knowledge that I've been working on over the past few weeks. I'm doing a search for "Indiefab" which is an award I've edited and it comes up with an empty search screen though a result of 8 to the left column.

Just got an update from Tim re: site search. It's still lagging/catching up. Will report back with a timeline as soon as possible. Sorry, and thanks for waiting in the meantime (not that there's much else to do!).

Any update?

Any update on the search problems?

Seconding norabelle.
Search as it stands is an embarrassment to the site. It is most likely to affect new members, who are exactly those who don't know that it hasn't always been like this. And frankly as it stands now I can't even in good conscience reassure them that it's temporary, rather than the new normal.

Search is now rebuilding. The book in message 1 is back. Others will arrive in next 24-48 hours.

Hi, I see that there has been an issue with search not returning a work. If it was to be resolved by March 26, it hasn't been. I am unable to add Schooled by Anisha Lakhani.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Maybe tomorrow. That is if you are talking about adding a work to a list.
Adding books is not affected.

The original search bug, of indices not updating, was fixed (at least for the past backlog; it's not clear whether updating will be more timely going forward.) The complete failure of search is a new bug.
