My daughter was listening to a radio program called "When Radio Was" last night. One of the old radio programs was a play of a ghost story. From her description of the play; I am sure that I read it as a short story in a collection of ghost stories. She could not remember the name of the radio play and I cannot remember the name of the short story.
The story is about a man who believes he is being haunted by a ghost that steals his pants. Every morning his pants are gone.
In the end it is revealed that he has been sleepwalking and burying his pants in the yard.
I cannot remember when I read the story, but it was some time ago. It wasn't a very long short story; definitely not a novelette. I cannot remember any of the other short stories in the collection. I'm not even sure the other stories in the book were by the same author.
I'd like to find the story to see if it is indeed the same as the radio play.
Any help would be appreciated!

ETA: Already found it! It occured to me to look at the website for When Radio Was.
It is The Spectre of Tappington by Richard Barham.
