Our society functions as a machine with the people totally unaware. Some people do become aware and leave there place in the machines order, but their place continues on as though they were still there. The machine tries to adjust. Some aware gangs are violent hunting other awares or abusing unawares. Aware boy mets aware girl and tries to fit back in. This was probably a long novella
