Folks,
Have any of you read anything by Phil Rickman?
I've just started 'Fabric of Sin' and it's excellent. His books are set in the misty, atmospheric Welsh Marshes. The heroine is Merrily Watkins, a 'deliverance consultant' (i.e. exorcist). Merrily is a really engaging character - down to earth, not at all pious, smokes Silk Cut and has a teenage daughter who's into paganism.
I highly recommended it - it's well worth a read.
