Sace's Indecision

I might as well jump in, right? Too bad I am not a very creative person. About the only "theme" I could come up with was repetition. I'm thinking I'll read 2 per category for a total of 24? Or how about four a total of 48? Can indecision count as a theme?

ETA: I am also trying to read from my own shelves and not buy any books

Welcome! Indecision is a great theme, and remember, you can always change your mind and your categories as you go. I'm looking forward to seeing what you pick to read.

It's great to see you here. If you have any questions just post them and someone will be more than happy to help - we are a very friendly group. Your challenge is "yours" so you can set it up however you want. The main idea is to read books, discuss books and have fun!

That's a common theme among a lot of us!

Glad you're joining us. For your Lands category, you might like to join the GeoCAT which could give you ideas of what to read. This month was North America and next month is Australia/New Zealand.

Welcome to the Challenge! You have interesting categories, with a nice variety.

>11 VictoriaPL: Thank you! Having a variety of reading interests is a blessing and a curse. My husband is strictly Fantasy and always seems to know what he's in the mood to read. I *never* can see to figure out what I am in the mood for.

>12 Sace: My husband also reads exclusively Fantasy or Sci-Fi. Right now I seem to be on a WWII kick but I'm sure at some point I will grow tired of it.

>13 VictoriaPL: I also get on kicks and buy several books on the same subject...and then I peter out before I've read all the books. Luckily I tend to repeat my kicks.

>12 Sace: A wide variety of reading interests requires a substantial tbr, so that when you're not sure what you feel like reading, you can browse your shelves and something will jump out at you.

>15 RidgewayGirl: Very true. I have a bad habit of browsing my shelves and deciding nothing is jumping out at me so I start browsing LT and online bookstores. It's an evil and wonderful cycle.

I managed to strike one book off my list: Otomen, Vol. 9. Thank heaven for manga. I'd never accomplish anything.

>17 Sace: A lot of us pad our numbers with graphic novels. It's a guilty pleasure but some of them are truly amazing!

>18 mamzel: Oh I'm afraid I'm way beyond "padding". I read so much manga and so many graphic novels that I'm pretty sure it' s cheating.

I've crossed another manga off my list. I need to sit down sometime this week and actually come up with books for some of these categories.

I finished reading Remembrance (finally.) It was getting 2 stars, but the last 23 pages bumped it up to 3 stars. I love Jude Deveraux's books, but I did not like this one. I hope it's ok to count 1 book for two squares because it was a about a writer and had a one word title.
