I totally loved this book, it made me want to get on a plane and move to Paris.
This is the first of two novels that I have read inspired by the true story of Marthe de Florian's apartment in Paris that was abandoned for 70 years.
Cat Jordon receives a mysterious package in the mail containing a letter and a key. At the insistence that she must travel to Paris, she gets on a plane and once she arrives in Paris finds that she is now the owner of a perfectly preserved Belle Époque apartment in the ninth arrondissement that has been locked up for 70 years. But why was it looked up and never opened in 70 years? Why didn’t it go to the woman’s family? Cat can’t seem to return to her life in New York until she solves the mystery.
