Grabbed this over on FB. This year should be especially fun as Hanukkah starts on Xmas Eve!

Oh, I like that! Is it too early to start the war?

"Fie on Christmas! Fie!"

I love Christmas as a festival, a tradition, and a family event, but I don't think anybody should try to boss anybody else around about how they enjoy it. Fie on the people who think they own it, whether they're for or against merry greetings.

I like the poster. Thanks, >1 rastaphrog:.

I do worry so about the way it puts such pressure on the poor reindeer.

And once again, Starbucks has entered into the fray.

When I see holiday decorations in the stores before we've even gotten to October, armed insurrection against seasonal celebrations does not seem entirely unreasonable...

"SEATTLE, WA—Starbucks Corporation has unveiled its annual holiday design for the 2016 Christmas season, and it features a prominent inverted Satanic pentacle. ... “It is our company’s mission to destroy Christianity ... beginning with a holiday cup proclaiming our allegiance to the Prince of Darkness.”"

"Christian groups expressed concern over the new design, but many believers were reportedly relieved that Starbucks was not promoting something like unity or tolerance with this year’s cup design."

>9 prosfilaes: >10 weener: While not quite that extreme, after the "outrage" made the news I was thinking anyplace that puts out "holiday themed" cups this time of year should make sure they include a menorah and the Kwanzaa candle holder. That'd be sure to get the religifreaks in an uproar.

And now the religifreaks are up in arms over the movie "Office Christmas Party" because there's a scene where a nativity gets trashed, and there's a petition to get the movie pulled from distribution.

Someone told me yesterday that there are 29 holidays in December around the world. Which is enough to have a response to "Merry Christmas" nearly every day of the month!

I rather like the idea of Pancha Ganapati. Frankly, I'm feeling the need for vibrations of love and harmony this year.

>15 rastaphrog: I heard about this as well. I guess we are never going to mature as a nation, are we? Feels like we're regressing at this point.

Someone should make an offer: "We'll give you that Santa is white, if you'll accept that Jesus isn't."
