DeNiro wants to punch Trump

He's a good actor but he needs a writer. Another Hollywood celebrity giving us a moralizing pitch. Why should I care?

I happen to be sympathetic to this particular "cause" but still--step back a little--Deniro looks stupid and crude without a competent script.

He wants to punch Trump in the face? Actually, this bloviating sounds like Trump.

Can we stick to issues? Those ought to suffice.

I hate Trump, but I hardly ever care what actors say. They're talented, but so are many others. We don't look to the best architects, choreographers or museum conservators to help us decide whom to vote for, and those jobs require advanced degrees.

Besides, actors tend to suffer from the same defects Trump does. I'm sure more than one Hollywood star heard Trump's "when you're a star, you can do whatever you want" and nodded in agreement, grounded in experience.

If the last two decades have taught us anything it's that DeNiro would do anything for money, no matter how stupid or demeaning.



If the Donald had been faster to make an offer he'd be growling his phony tough threats at Mrs Clinton.

I don't take my cues from actors about anything. I am a fan of DeNiro. And if you want to know what some of my relatives look like, there you go. I agree that regarding his career the past ten years he has a lot of explaining to do.

I don't fault him for going far afield. He doesn't have much to prove anymore, and he might as well have fun.
