I remember the beginning of the book a girl was sick and her mom went into the doctors office to get a prescription. During that time a man unlocks the door and takes the car with her in the backseat, she wakes up and the car is parked in front of his house. I cannot remember anything after that but I know it was an old book released before 2013 if that helps.
