I'll be receiving Bryant & May: Strange Tide by Christopher Fowler - it's a series I have been recommended by many of my fellow LT:ers, so I'm really looking forward to giving it a go!

I'll be receiving Dodgers by Bill Beverly. Sounds like a very different coming-of-age novel. Looking forward to it!

I'm getting Lola: a Novel by Melissa Scrivner Love.

I snagged a copy of My Life, My Love, My Legacy by Coretta Scott King, which I'm really looking forward to reading.

Also got a chuckle when I realized that, for the fifth straight time, I did NOT win Rogue Heroes by Ben MacIntyre.

I'm getting Iron Tactician by Alastair Reynolds. Looking forward to a good little space adventure!

Looks like I got Irina's Story / Jim Williams.

The Animators, is coming my way. Looks like it had some promise. Now i just have to get through a comprehensive history of American foreign relations with the middle East and the Russian empire in the meantime.

Kinda like Napoleon.

That went by fast. Seems like I just requested The Barrowfields by Phillip Lewis and now I've won it.

I won The Barrowfields: A Novel by Phillip Lewis. Good thing this isn't released in the US until March; I received my September book 2 weeks ago, my October book 1 week ago, and now this one! Good problems to have, though.

Bryant and May: Stange Tide by Christopher Fowler

Oh, ho! Got a good one! The Patriots: A Novel by Sana Krasikov. Early early reviews for book jacket material rave about this multi-generational family saga by debut novelist. I'm excited. . .except it's a biggie, checking in at over 500 pp!

My last month win was a superb debut novel, too. The Mortifications by Derek Palacio. Expect to see it considered for major literary prizes!

Oooh, I loved this one! The author was a writer for the TV show Person of Interest, if you watched that one.

Looking forward to Human Acts by Han Kang. I loved The Vegetarian and am excited to read her latest!

I won The Chilbury Ladies' Choir this month. I applied for it in October too and didn't get it, so I'm pleased!

I won two books this month! I'm excited to read The Mercy of the Tide by Keith Rosson and The Call, volume 1 of the Book of the West Marque by Richard Parkinson.

I will be getting For White Folks Who Teach in the Hood... and the Rest of Y'all Too by Christopher Emdin and I can't wait...I work in the library of a very urban school...the principal has called "first dibs" on reading it when I am done!

I was the winner of Heart Attack and Vine. It was a quick read, and while the story was good, i felt the writing was a bit of a disappointment.
