I finished Pereat Austria! for the "title uses wordplay" square. The book should come with a health warning, it's monarchic, chauvinist and rabidly anti-slavonic.
But: I have only two squares left to fill now.

I'm on my last two squares also! I'm currently reading Skink: No Surrender by Carl Hiaasen, which I'm counting for "about the environment/nature." Although the plot centers around a kidnapping, the narrator and the titular character are both very passionate about environmental issues, and the book frequently mentions topics such as endangered species. Maybe it's a stretch, but it's the closet thing to an "environmental" book that I had on my TBR!
My last square is "senior citizen protagonist," and I'm planning to read Old Dogs by Donna Moore for that one. Hopefully I can finish both books before the year ends!

I only have one block left - "features a theater" - but I don't have anything and nothing in the wiki is interesting to me, so I'll probably not finish this year.

Although I am definitely not a fan of comic books, in an attempt to complete the BingoDOG card, I just read March, Book Three by John Lewis and Andrew Aydin with art by Nate Powell for the graphic novel square. I read this volume, the final volume of a set describing John Lewis' experiences in the Civil Rights movement in the 1960s since it was available in the branch of the pubic library which I use.
Now I have only one more square, the Indigenous person square to complete the card, which I hope to do in the next ten days or so.

>3 dudes22: Loren Estleman wrote some mystery novels featuring the owner of an old cinema. They are quite entertaining and a good fit for the category.
ETA: It's the Valentino series.

>5 VivienneR: - Thanks for the info, but I think I'll give it a pass. I'd have to get it by ILL since my library doesn't have it and as busy as this season is, I'm not sure I'd finish it anyway.

I finished Love Medicine for the indigenous people square.

I read Looks Like Daylight: Voices of Indigenous Kids (edited by) Deborah Ellis for the indigenous people square. This completes my BingoDOG card.
I had planned to read Torn from the Nest, a 19th century novel by Clorinda Matto de Turner about the treatment of indigenous people in Peru, but got no farther into it than several years ago when I tried to read it for the South America in the GeoCAT.

I almost forget to mention that I finished my Bingo card, too, with Gräfin Erikas Lehr- und Wanderjahre for the coming-of-age story. I blame it on the cold.

I read The Dying Earth for 'author born in 1916'. I have 3 squares left. Might make it!

>11 sallylou61: Thanks! I need to watch my timing next year so I won't have to rush to the finish line in December.

I finished Old Dogs by Donna Moore ("senior citizen protagonist" square), which means I have now completed my Bingo card! I had a lot of fun with the BingoDOG and look forward to participating again next year!
