Well the books should be closed (ha ha) for last year. Has anyone seen any listings for the bestsellers? Here's a link to Barnes & Noble's top 100 http://www.barnesandnoble.com/b/the-top-100-bestsellers-of-the-year/_/N-1p4d and for brevity's sake here's the top ten:
1. Hidden Figures
2. Milk and Honey
3. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child
4. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them: The Original Screenplay
5. Hillbilly Elegy
6. A Man Called Ove
7. Carve the Mark
8. Behind Closed Doors
9. Food, Health and Happiness
10. A Dog's Purpose

Well I've heard of the Harry Potter, the Dr. Seuss and The Wimpy Kids, but they are children's/YA books. I think we could get a better list if they took the kids/YA books out and also separated fiction from non-fiction?

I like this list better because it's from Nielsen which ran a survey. What you have listed above are best sellers; but not necessarily most read. Once a book is purchased and read oft times it's passed to a friend, relative, etc., to read again; therefore not showing up in the purchase, but showing up when people are surveyed.

>3 Tess_W: While I completely struck out with Varielle's lists, I only did slightly better with yours, having long ago read both To Kill A Mockingbird and Green Eggs and Ham. :)
