Regency Historical novel (i dont remember the name of the book)

Can anyone please tell me the name of this book, i read the description once and i completely forgot the author's name and the name of the book and its driving me completely insane. The heroine is maid and the hero (possibly called christopher or christian) saves her from a man trying to force her but is caught in a compromising position instead and is forced to marry her. He gives her a false name and goes off to war. After a while the heroine shows up at the camp looking for the hero (using the fake name he gave) and thats about all i remember.
