Trump is losing whatever his mind contained before
he walked into the Oval Office. His overseas trip or
????? appears to have ignited something in this 24/7
Trump nightmare the planet is experiencing. I doubt
his term in office will last 4 years ~ GOPers are going to
have to put country above party, eventually.

I've seen a few articles this morning about the Twiterverse going crazy with their replies to that tweet

Are we surprised? No. He makes up "facts" and now he makes up words. A complete embarrassment to have such a troglodyte as president.

I think the ego is taking over and since his overseas trip was deemed as a "success" (because the bar is set so low on what is a Trump "success") he is feeling more emboldened.

Whoa--check out urbandictionary.com! Could "fefe" have been a Freudian slip?

"Despite the constant negative press covfefe,"

Transl. : ""Despite the constant negative press coverage" (cov f e f rage).

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/typo

"typo" (noun)

Save
typo /ˈtaɪpoʊ/ noun
plural typos
Learner's definition of TYPO
count informal
: a mistake (such as a misspelled word) in typed or printed text

I spotted three typos on the menu.

Trump's critics make him look good. That ought to embarrass them.

>6 proximity1: I am not sure what you are trying to accomplish. This is the most powerful man in the world. He is tweeting at midnight and is doing it badly. The least he can do is read before he hits "tweet". This only goes to show that he is impulsive and it leads to mistakes, mistakes as small as typos and who knows how large. It's embarrassing to US citizens, it shows a lack of impulse control to other nations. This man is arguing and trying to belittle our allies. This impulsiveness makes an entire planet nervous. We didn't need your "translation". As if that makes all of the underlying issues okay because you could "translate" for the rest of us.

Sorry, it's not a typo. Sean Spicer says a small group of people knows what it really means. Guess you're not in that group, >6 proximity1:.

PS It really means dementia.

I think world stability would be greatly enhanced if Trump were locked out of his own twitter account.

Yes, I agree, it happens. And the fact that you had to scour the internet to find it, and it was done by a translator speaks to an error. It doesn't mitigate the fact that President Trump undermines the office of the presidency and the good faith of world leaders by acting like an impulsive person who cannot control themselves.

If your argument is that every one makes mistakes - it is a weak one. This article had context and was a transcript. Trump is tweeting out whatever he can, unvetted, late at night. It doesn't speak a stable leader who is up to the task of running the country.

No scouring: Google "typos Obama". Most of us paid little attention to these at the time, because we know that typos happen to everyone. Why bother criticizing Trump for faults common to everyone, when he apparently has so many faults peculiar to him?

>16 cpg: Because only Trump of all presidents has posted unfiltered tweets in the middle of the night. Because not only was it a typo, but it was also an incomplete thought that trailed away with no explanation. Because that is bizarre. Because Sean Spicer et al doubled down and claimed it's some secret word only the inner circle would know rather than just dismissing it as a typo. Because this is just the latest in a series of odd and disturbing tweets by the president of the United States. Because Trump's presidency has been an unending shitshow of despair and in order to keep our sanity, we must seize on any bit of humor, no matter how slight. Because a president who, it can be argued, may be mentally incapacitated, is even now making critical decisions that affect all our lives and the lives of future generations, and that is no joke.

I'm not giving Abraham Lincoln any credit for not sending unfiltered tweets. And lot's of people work at midnight.

"it was also an incomplete thought that trailed away with no explanation. Because that is bizarre."

One time someone sent me an email referring to an attachment, but there was no attachment! How bizarre! The experience of prematurely sending an email, tweeting a tweet, posting a comment, or texting a message is probably about as universal for modern persons as making a typo.

"Because Sean Spicer et al doubled down and claimed it's some secret word only the inner circle would know rather than just dismissing it as a typo."

Now we're getting somewhere. "It's not the crime, it's the cover-up."

"in order to keep our sanity, we must seize on any bit of humor, no matter how slight"

How's that working out for you? I voted against Trump, gave several hundred dollars to an opposing candidate, and was stunned on election night. I've not found that obsessing over every trivial, stupid thing he does has been helpful.

Serenity now!

>19 cpg: Fair play. To me it is just part of a systemic problem. I didn't criticize W Bush for his made up words. Or Obama for his typos and attempts at folksy speech. Whether you agreed with them or not, we understood that this is what happens in the course 'of doing business'. But with Trump it is a different ball game.

Different people have different ways of coping. What you see as "obsessing," others may see as blowing off steam. Perhaps it would be helpful to click the red X and move on to more serious subjects?

All I know is that Trump's Twitter addiction (not to bring in his general unhinged stream-of-consciousness bile-spewing) has got to be driving his lawyers nuts. Then again, any motherfucker that's corrupt and soulless enough to work for Trump deserves whatever he or she gets.

PS And how does one describe the kind of work one would be doing as Trump's legal counsel? Is there some fancy Latinate antonym of pro bono that I am perhaps unaware of?

Covfefe is a useful litmus test (if we needed another one); anyone that assigned it any importance whatsoever is incapable (at least for the duration of this administration) of meaningful political thought, analysis or commentary and should not be taken seriously.
