Does Jane Austen fit into the Regency Romance genre?

I have included Jane Austen's books in this Regency Romance group but do you think they belong here?

Is it enough that some of her books were contemporary in the Regency period and that they were all based around a central romance?

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

Absolutely not. Jane Austen was not a romance writer. She was a satirist, a Bitch in a Bonnet, an ironic commentator on the mores of her time and class.

I like that, a bitch in a bonnet! She certainly had a sharp tongue on occasion. But can a satirist still write romance? I'm thinking of P&P, Persuasion and Emma in particular where the plot weaves around the central couple until the finally happy conclusion.
