Good Deal on Kindle Edition of new Guadalcanal Book

As of October 4, 2017, Amazon is selling the Kindle Edition of Midnight in the Pacific: Guadalcanal--The World War II Battle That Turned the Tide of War by Joseph Wheelan for $2.99.

I have not yet read this title, but I am very interested in evaluating the book in the future to see how it compares to Guadalcanal: The Definitive Account of the Landmark Battle by Richard Frank.

I've picked it up, but as usual it will be a while before I get around to reading it. I also have the Frank book which I enjoyed years ago when it came out.

I have become a bit addicted to these $2-$3 Kindle deals ;)
