I read this about 6-7 years ago.
There are two girls, they could be sisters, they're studying (boarding school maybe?) and they're in their teens. They have boyfriends.
There are some snobby girls, who try to play a trick on them, making them want to lose faith in their boys, but it doesn't work.
The girls end up poking around in an Opera House? where there is some mystery. Once they nearly get injured when someone lets loose a sandbag.
It is definitely NOT nancy drew.

Long, tiring search on internet. I was 99.9% the girls were sisters, and so I googled list of fictional teenage sleuths, and went through it, looking for siblings. Well, when I saw their last name, Dana, I knew I finally found what I was searching for.
