Seems to me that many mormons when they realize how bunk their religion is, lose faith in all religion. I wonder why that is. Have others made the same observation, or is this just me? I have noticed other exmormons who appear to be fans of Dawkins.

It seems there are a good number of exmo atheists. I guess it depends where you look. Certain places online seem to have a lot of them.
I guess it is hard to say for sure since there are a lot of people who could be considered "exmormon" who have gone inactive but don't really spend time online debating or thinking about the mormon stuff. I dunno, but it is interesting.
I think after mormonism there is a lot of questioning and doubting of religion in general so I guess that leads us to be more skeptical of other religious beliefs. I consider skepticism a good thing. I am glad that in leaving mormonism I have learned the importance of being skeptical and investigating things for myself rather than relying on someone else interpreting my "feelings" for me.

I believe that we see quite a few former Mormons at the Unitarian Universalist church. I think that they range from atheists to spiritual seekers.
We also see a lot of former Catholics. They cover the same range but lumped, it seems, at the atheist end.
I would be content if someone showed real data whether it agreed or not.

Come to think of it, since you reminded me, I also attend a UU fellowship and there are a couple other exmormons. I am an atheist and the other two would probably be called pagan.

Well, it is certainly true in may case. Religion never made sense to me until I joined the LdS Church. It seemed so logical and answered many of the questions I had about religion in general. Then I started learning all the other stuff and it just broke under it's own weight.
