I'm not familiar with any of the titles on your list, so will be interested to read your reviews.

I recognize some mystery authors on your list which is one of my favorite genres. I love the Julia Fleming Spencer books - hope you enjoy that one as well.

Lene Kaaberbøl is the only author I even recognize, so I'll be looking forward to your reviews and possibly mining them for additions to Mount TBR. Happy reading!

1. I finished Dark Horse by Tami Hoag. Her books are usually good and this was a good one. I did not see that ending coming.

I have a couple of her books on my shelf that I need to get too at some point. I've never read anything by her so happy to know they are usually worth picking up.

2. Silent Witness by Mark Fuhrman This was not Mark Fuhrman's best work, but it was interesting. I doubt we will ever know what happened on February 25, 1990.

I bet that is an interesting read. I should check it out.

3. Prep by Curtis Sittenfeld

I really enjoyed her book American Wife. This was a struggle to get through. I did not care for the main character, maybe too much teenage angst. (See my review)

4. The Boy in the Suitcase by Lene Kaaberbol

I was really looking forward to this one. I was disappointed. I guess I like books that go from point A to point B with clues leading up to solving the mystery. This one wasn't that clear.

5. Out of the Deep I Cry by Julia Spencer-Fleming

This was one of the best of the series so far. I like any kind of mystery that has a "cold case" in that is solved. This one had a mystery from years ago, as well as; one that took place in modern times.

I do love that series - I'm envious that you still have a few more to go before you're caught up with all of them.

6. Devil's Claw by J.A. Jance

I really enjoy this series. Joanna and Butch finally get married.

7. Open Season by C. J. Box

I have enjoyed several other books by C. J. Box. I thought I would try his series. It was a lot darker than I anticipated. I enjoyed it and will continue the series.

Yeah, his books are fairly dark, but really, really good. That reminds me that I have a few of the latest in the series that I need to read. Hope you enjoy the rest of the series!

8. In Contempt by Christopher A. Darden

I have read many books about the o. j. simpson case. This one was just okay.

9. No One Heard Her Scream by Jordan Dane

This was a wonderful suspense filled mystery with a little romance thrown in. I had this book on my bookshelf for a long time. It was a really good read.

10. The Delilah Complex by M. J. Rose

This was the second in the trilogy. If you enjoy books with a little sex in them, I recommend this series. Excellent read.

19> Isn't is a great feeling to read a book that's been on the shelf for a long time?

Yes it is. Especially when they are good.

11. Wild Swans: Three Daughters of China by Jung Chang

If anyone is interested in the political climate of China in the 1950's, 1960's and 1970's mostly during Mao's rule, this book is for you. Makes you realize the feedoms we have and how you do not want to be a communist.

12. Keeper of the Light by Diane Chamberlain

I very much enjoyed this book. This is the first of a trilogy. I intend to read all of them.

Did you like that one?

27dara85

It was not as good as many of her other Ballad novels.

14. No Mercy by John Walsh

This was a really good book.

15. Shooting at Loons by Margaret Maron

This was not the best addition to the series, but it held my interest and I enjoyed it.

16. Worth More Dead by Ann Rule

This was a nice addition to her true crime files. If you are interested in true crime, no one can beat Ann Rule in my book.

31billiejean

I need to check her out.

I'll have to recommend her to a co-worker of mine who is a true crime buff. Of course she may have already heard of her.

17. Gone by Jonathan Kellerman

This was pretty good.

Dec 15, 2018, 5:18 pm

18. Magic Hour by Kristin Hannah

This was a little slow to start, it ended on a definite high note. It was an emotional story for me.

I have to say I have only read one bad book by her. THis was a good one.
