I made my goal of reading 200 books in 2017. I was able to bring 14 of my series-up-to-date and I completed 16 more of my series. I also listened to 60 audio-books during the year.

>16 Andrew-theQM: Keep a list of characters as you read as there are quite a few. Amazing books though. Who would ever think that the building of cathedrals would be so interesting?

>17 EadieB: This is definitely the year of big books (2018) so think I will need a number of lists!

>12 Andrew-theQM: >13 EadieB: My husband read Pillars of the Earth and loved it. I haven't read it but we watched the series on DVD and it was excellent. I was skeptical when it started because I don't always like period pieces but I was hooked all the way through.

Trial By Fire by J. A. Jance *4.5 stars
Velocity by Dean Koontz *4 stars
The Rembrandt Affair by Daniel Silva *5 stars
Ice Cold by Tess Gerritsen *4.5 stars
I, Michael Bennett by James Patterson *4.5 stars

And my MOST favorite book of them all: And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie *5 stars
To further answer Andrew's original question, only two books I read for 2017 I would really catagorize as disappointments:
The Emperor's Tomb by Steve Berry *3 stars
Restless in the Grave by Dana Stabenow *Incomplete (in my reading history that has only happened 2 other times and I never quit a book before at least 200 pages)
Looking at my list (and these were not ALL the books I read for 2017) I realize I'm not doing as badly as I thought. You guys are a good influence on my reading, thank you all.
And happy reading in 2018!!

>26 ColinMichaelFelix: I’m pleased to hear we are a good influence Colin, Happy New Year. I really need to get back into the Daniel Silva and Tess Gerritsen Series. I love Matthew Reilly and Scarecrow is next up for me. I also read and loved And Then There Were None in 2017.
Steve Berry often promises much but the books just seem to be missing something.
