When I try to upload a .png file to my junk drawer, I get a message "unable to process that as an image". I get the same message even when I try to upload an image I've successfully uploaded before.

I'm getting the same with jpeg images, too. Same message, and no success with uploading images to my book covers. I see the percentage uploading, but it always goes to the message "unable to process that as an image". Never had this happen before.

I am having the same issue with uploading jpeg images for book covers, that I spent the afternoon scanning to my computer so that I could upload covers to LT, only to receive the following problem notice "We are unable to process that as an image." - I even tried uploading a file of a book cover that I had previously uploaded and I received the same error message. Then I had my husband sit with me and make sure that I was doing the process correctly, and he agreed that I was doing everything correctly, and a jpeg file should upload, but there is an error in the system.
Please advise, as I don't want to waste more hours scanning book covers, only to not be able to upload them.
Thanks!

Looks like a bug. Keep scanning, if they look good on your computer they'll be fine once it gets fixed here.

I just tested uploading a few images, and am not seeing this issue now. Try again, and let me know if it's still occurring? Please be specific about where you're uploading (member gallery, cover images, etc.) and if you can tell me the type of image file and dimensions, that would be a big help, too.
Sorry for the trouble, folks.

There were several posts (in different groups) about it around the same time, but at least one person has since said (several hours later) that they were able to again. So it's presumably resolved but, the underlying issue is probably still there?

>6 .Monkey.: Yeah, I saw that. I'm pretty sure it was a case of "image server got full, then space was cleared later" but am waiting for our sysadmin to sign on so I can confirm.

bump so I can easily find this after I try to upload again.

Success - I just uploaded http://www.librarything.com/work/20958617/book/150254205
It took a little while to upload which may have been my computer, the size of the file, or the server, but it is there. I will try to upload more later this evening and see how those go. Hopefully, I will remember the next time I have an issue. Just glad I thought to look on Talk.
