Glad I found this site. Might help me solve a mystery that has been driving me crazy for the longest time.
In (probably) the mid 80's I received a book through my school book club.
Now things get vague
The book MAY have been part of a series.
The main character was male, and was investigating video games at a local video game parlour. Kids were mindlessly playing, and there was clearly a mind control element.
A character, who I believe was not the main character was injured and had to have his spleen removed. I distinctly remember that part as it mentioned the important role the spleen played.
I Believe the lead character MAY have rode a motor bike, and there may have been a love interest involved.
I know it is a massive long shot, but a long shot is better than none.
