I have some images on my phone that I would like to add to a post in a group topic thread. Where do I upload the images to and how do I insert them into the post? Thanks.

You upload the images either to your member gallery (from your profile) or anywhere else that they are available online. Then you use angle brackets around img src="URL"
Note that the URL needs to be just the picture, not the webpage containing the picture, and the quotes have to be straight.
Note also that LT does not rotate pictures. They will show in the default view for your device. This is usually landscape.

img src='http://pics.cdn.librarything.com/picsizes/76/b3/76b33f001b1acfd636936436f41434b41716b42.jpg'
Add brackets
