I hope you are keeping backup files somewhere of all the work you are doing, >1 Wootle: ,because LibraryThing hasn’t seemed very stable lately. Sometime it might go down permanently or lose all its data.

Wootle, this is an interesting idea, and thanks for all you do. I often don't get the catalogs, and though I may get the catalog emails, I'm always irritated when the email says to check out the latest catalog but only takes you to the website.

I could certainly post the new ones easily enough, but I was really hoping to time travel back a ways and get some from the early days. I'll use the waybackmachine to get some from this decade, but was wanting some pre 2000 if possible. I know some of the members here have them, just a matter of getting them on here.

Really just starting this to see if there is interest in this idea. It is a massive time dump, so I don't want to continue it if no one is interested.

It'll be nice to have all of the data here but the functional design of LibraryThing is not really amenable to databasing information or searching through it...it's a newsgroup site. I don't know what the best answer is, so Wootle's current approach is the best bet at the moment, especially since that's what he's most comfortable with.

A dedicated Wiki site would be easier to navigate and peruse aimlessly but wouldn't help when trying to do targeted queries or complex searches.

Oldest catalog I have is 2000. Unsfortunately my older stuff didn’t make it back during my move back from Oregon :(

>7 GOBOGIE:

My oldest catalog is from 2009 but only because that's when I finally had the foresight to start saving some of them. Your 2000 catalog is still going to be older than the first catalogs I would've received upon first joining by a few years. I wish I had some that old.

I just received my Christmas Eve 2018 also a couple days ago, and looked through it then stored it in my desk drawer.

I think this is a good idea. Thanks for doing this Wootle. One thing this could help with is identifying the various series EP has run over the years. Won't tell us what books were in each series, but it will give an idea of how EP offerings have evolved.

Uploaded the newest catalog, Early Autumn 2019. I plan to get some new ones installed in the coming weeks, so check back occasionally as it will not always be bumped up.

Hello @Wootle. The Folio Society Devotees board has a dedicated Wiki page on LT where all the catalogs are uploaded as soon as they come available (thanks to @folio_books and @wcarter!). Take a look here. If you are going to make the effort, it might be worthwhile to setup a Wiki page for this group for easy reference.

Hi NLNils, the Folio wikis are very nice, I have looked at them occasionally. There are several reasons I haven't done an EP wiki as of yet. The first being laziness on my part. It is a format that I am not familiar with and I would have to learn something new to manage it all. Secondly, the pictures are very limited on the wiki. No zooming that I can see, which I really like using in google albums. Perhaps if I teamed up with someone more tech savvy, it could be done some day.

Lots of new catalogs added in the past week.

If anyone out there has some 2005 and before catalogs, I would be very happy to borrow them for a few days and scan them in. Please contact me.

I have a large box of flyers too

That's pretty cool. Thank you Wootle. Brings back a lot of memories and shows that Easton Press used to have a much better book selections and series. Liked Steinbeck all novels and short stories. EP used to be much more versatile with much better offerings.

32StrangerThing
Jun 11, 2020, 12:28 pm

Thank you! Does bring back memories! And, reminds me why I buy almost all EP books on ebay now. Still collecting Dickens, Faulkner, Hemingway, Library of the Presidents, and keeping an eye out for History of America and Story of Civilization, as well as a nice set of the Arabian Nights by Burton, plus many earlier sets that I think EP would no longer touch since they now seem to sell mostly coffee table books and individual DLEs. Still, love them for what they once were!

Did anyone here receive the catalogs for Summer 2020 and Late Summer 2020? I only received the Early Summer 2020 and was wondering if EP actually printed those two this year at this time of pandemic.

Awesome!! Thanks so much! For some reason EP is not sending me catalogs anymore (the last 3 I didn’t receive and before that I was getting every other catalog or so), even though I’ve kept buying books from them... not sure what is the story with that. Thanks again.

Has anyone received via USPS Mail a printed / paper 2025 Easton Press Christmas Eve Catalog?

I received an email on 2025-12-2 as an advertisement for the Easton Press Christmas Eve 2025 catalog, but not a paper catalog.

52treereader
Dec 23, 2025, 5:30 pm

Shoot. I believe I did but after searching just now it would seem that I've already recycled it. Ironically, I found 4-5 other 2025 paper catalogs in my search. All I can say with any certainty is that one did indeed exist.
