I am trying to figure out a book series.
The series is about a woman who finds out she can shift into a elf warrior. She eventually falls in love with an elf warrior who is blood sworn to an evil fairy queen. She manages to break the blood oath, though. He is part of the fairy queens elite squad of warriors. They can all transform into animals. I think he transforms into a bird of prey. But at the end of the book he is taken and put into a coffin bound in iron. She vows to search for him forever.

This sounds like this might be the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas -- mostly the third one, Heir of Fire.
