Big rock in the wrong place in the solar system

I found this description of a large rock found much, much further out in the solar system than where it "should" be to be quite interesting:

I'm relatively new to this group, though. Does the history of the solar system seem appropriate, or are we only discussing planet earth and human history?

This group was inspired by Big History, of which David Christian’s Maps of Time is an exemplar. He starts at the Big Bang. So the history of the universe - and certainly of our one particular solar system - are legitimate topics for consideration. By all means!
