I have been searching the internet to find the name of this book.
The book consisted of short scary stories - I think specificity ghost stories.
I remember 3 of them in detail.
1) A young boy ghost is haunting this old building that attracts tourist. The boy ghost died after he was run over and crushed by a wagon (he been dead since before cars). Anyways, the boy ghost really wanted to be alive again and was tired of seeing ungrateful kids. One day, this rude boy comes in the building and is not at all interested. He dislikes his life and is annoyed by his family. An adult gives him 2 cents. Says something about 2 cents. The living boy says for 2 cents he would trade his life for someone else's. Then he puts the 2 cents down on the windowsill and the ghost boy takes the 2 cents and they trade places. The ghost boy takes the living boys body and leaves with the family while the living boy is trapped in the ghost boy's place.
2) A little girl wonders off into the swamp. The swamp is crawling with crocodiles. Everyone searches for her, but she is never found. She kept her hair up in 2 ponytails with ribbons. The people find one ribbon. People say they still see her ghost with only one ribbon, muddy torn clothes, and wondering the swamp.
3) A young boy is in a graveyard knocks over another kid's tombstone. Later, the ghost boy shows his anger and shows himself. The ghost boy is missing one arm and the stump and sweatshirt are coated in blood. The ghost boy destroys the living boy's room. The ghost boy rips a poster. Another older boy (the older brother?) Saw the whole thing and he and the young living boy go back to the graveyard and set the tombstone back up. The ghost boy shows himself again, calm, and disappears.
I LOVED this book in second grade. But many years later, I cannot recall the title or author.
The cover was black with pink writing at the top and a ghostly blue looking house with a broken roof.
Can anyone PLEASE tell me the name of this book :(.

The two cents story is Trade-Off by Joan Lowery Nixon. It is in Ghost Town: Seven Ghostly Stories. I don't know if the other stories are there.

Thank you so much!!! The other 2 stories were from another book I was thinking of. I found the book "Haunted Kids: True Ghost Stories" by Allan Zullo. Thank you so much again!!
