Fascinating simulation from the American Time Use Survey: It’s a moving “filmstrip” in which each moving dot represents a person, in terms of what s/he is doing at a given time over a day.

You have to scroll down past the gray picture to the part that moves.
It starts at 4:00 am and starting at 6:00, there’s a little explosion out of “sleep” and into other activities at each half-hour mark.
