Sorry I've so little detail on this. A possible YA book maybe a SBS book about an boy from another planet who lives with an earth presumably American family. I don't recall how he gets there.

Always loved "The Forgotten Door" Also recommend "Escape to Witch Mountain" also by Alexander Key. Book Much better than movies. Isn't it always?.
