Katharine Kerr's Deverry Series

I am a bibliophile with an especial love for fantasy and sci-fi - although I like a wide variety of genres - and like Kerr's Deverry series which I began in the late 1980s. Has anyone else read these and enjoyed the lives (yes, plural!) of Nevyn and the esoteric system she uses which is based on the Western Magical tradition? Who are your favourite characters and scenes, and which books in the series - which is quite a lengthy one compared to most fantasy works - do you like and/or dislike, and why? Hoping to find other lovers of the Deverry novels, Kordax (from Sydney, Australia).

Oh, I have read some of those, and really liked them, but it was quite a while ago, and I don't remember much. It is on my TBR pile.
