Okay, so I cannot for the life of me remember the title of this book I read in middle school. Kids from all over the world were drawn to a certain spot, I can't remember the name, and they began developing powers. I think they were trying to protect the earth from this monster in space. The monster had kids with it and I remember she had to kill like all of them except two because they were starving and then they were eating her because they had nothing else to eat. Okay so anyway, monsters aside, I remember only kids were drawn to this place because there was like some sort of guardian thing that was trying to protect the earth from the monster and it could talk to the kids through mind reading and stuff and it needed help from the kids to defeat the monster. Then the kids all started developing powers. I specifically remember one kid got like super strong and he got huge and like protected all the other kids. I also vividly remember a group of kids had their hands turn into drills and they were drilling down into the earth, but that was like a major plot point because apparently those kids were being told to drill into the earth by the monster instead of the guardian, because one of the monster's older kids was trapped there and the monster wanted them to release him so he could help her destroy the earth. And that's all I remember but if anyone could take this very scattered and random description and help me out that'd be awesome. Thanks and have a wonderful day/night whatever!

You're welcome. I always felt as if there should be a fourth book, though.
