I just thought that I would start a thread to list some of the various organizations out there that are giving aid where aid is needed.
The One Campaign
The campaign to make poverty history
Save Darfur
Around the country and across the globe, the Save Darfur Coalition is inspiring action, raising awareness and speaking truth to power on behalf of the people of Darfur. Working with world leaders, we are demanding an end to the genocide, and our efforts are getting results.
Central Asia Institute
To promote and provide community-based education and literacy programs,
especially for girls, in remote mountain regions of Central Asia.
Mercy Corps
Nonprofit volunteer organization to alleviate suffering, poverty and oppression by helping people build secure, productive, and just communities.
UN Refugees
Our mission is to inform Americans about the plight of refugees and advocate for their protection. We want to give individual Americans, frustrated by the growing refugee crisis and their own inability to do something to help, a way to put action behind their words.
Peace Corps
Fighting hunger, disease, poverty, and lack of opportunity.
