On December 30, 2019 we lost a wonderful woman...Marion Chensey...known to the literary world as M.C. Beaton. She gave us many hours of enjoyment with her Agatha Raisin and Hamish Macbeth series. Her talents will be greatly missed.

I have lots on my January wish list.....

High Five - a favorite series of mine since I discovered Joe Ide last year....not ideal for everyone.
Bitter Falls - Rachel Caine - #4 Stillhouse Lake
Last Sister - Kendra Elliott - she writes so many addictive suspense stories
Mr Nobody - Catherine Steadman
When You See Me - Lisa Gardner - She never writes a bad book.

P!us some others if I can fit them in.

I actually hope to read Many Rivers to Cross over the holidays, it's been out in the UK since September.
I keep meaning to read another Andrew Grant, I'll have to nudge him up my to-do list for 2020.

January looks quite a quiet time for some of the more popular authors. Peter Robinson, of course, and just got that from the library after waiting for some time on the wait list.

In the U.K. we’ve also got the new Peter May book (9th) A Silent Death, and the new Stephen Leather Book (23rd), The Runner.

>3 Sergeirocks: I really like Andrew Grant. You know that he's Lee Child's baby brother?

>4 Andrew-theQM: I've just started reading Stephen Leather and really like him thus far. He's another one that it's difficult to get.

>3 Sergeirocks: >5 Carol420: I Read one Andrew Grant too.

>4 Andrew-theQM: Read a handful of Stephen Leather books In the Spider Shepherd Series and really enjoyed them, I wonder why he’s not better known, or more popular. Popularity is a funny and fickle thing. I don’t think his covers help him in this regard.
