I am looking for a spooky pop up castle/haunted house book from my childhood that I have not found one picture or mention of in dozens of hours of searching online over the past 20 years. I received this book as a present from my mother some time in the mid to late 80's or early 90's. She worked at B.Dalton Booksellers in the Mall of New Hampshire at the time and purchased the book there.

This was a "carousel style" pop up book where the whole thing unfolded into a 3D diorama, similar to the dollhouse at this link - https://store.metmuseum.org/pop-up-dollhouse-80011829?gclid=EAIaIQobChMItK6S1qHR...

There was no plot or story that I recall and the front of the book looked like a grey castle wall with a door in the center at the bottom, which became the door to the playset when opened. When open the book had three sections, each with an upper and lower floor. There were various secret passages and traps and things of that nature scattered throughout.

I can give more in depth descriptions of what the house/castle contained, but given the very small selection of books that would fit this description I don't imagine that it would be helpful. Please let me know if that is not the case.

Some books that it is NOT:

Haunted House By Jan Pienkowski
The Ghosts of Creepy Castle by Kieth Mosely
The Horrors of Howling Hall by Skip Skwarek
Pop Up Spooky Castle by Steve Cox - https://www.worldofbooks.com/en-us/books/illustrated-by-steve-cox/pop-up-spooky-...

(If you imagine combining the books in the two links I provided it will give a fairly good idea of what my book was like)

Thank you for any help you can provide, I've never been able to get this one out of my head!!

It sounds a bit like A Three-Dimensional Medieval Castle - Amazon has some detailed pics of the insides here: https://amzn.to/2vJEDwC

Another option that might fit is the Spooky House of Horror - not many pics online, so let me know if you need a photo of the insides to check.

If neither of these seem right, do give more details - I have a few of these in my collection (My favorite is actually Botticelli’s Bed and Breakfast - I did a video review of this one if you like this sort of thing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pxr9784sXT4
