Thoughts?
I've already read 4: Fleishman is in Trouble - okay, but could have been shorter; Queenie - loved; The Dutch House - listened to it, read by Tom Hanks who was excellent, good story; Red at the Bone - good, solid read.
I've also got Girl, Woman, Other out from the library right now, so I will get to it very soon.
I've read books by O'Farrell, Enright, and Offill, and loved them, so I am really looking forward to those three books.
Oh, the excitement of a list of books!

I was really surprised to see The Mirror and the Light on the shortlist, since it's only just now being released. But of course the judges have advance access. I'm looking forward to reading that one.
I enjoyed The Dutch House and Red at the Bone, both books by favorite authors. I thought Girl, Woman, Other was really impressive, unique and well crafted.

>3 lauralkeet: I think it was your review, among several, that really interested me in Girl, Woman, Other. Planning to start it as my next book.

Arrgh! I have only The Mirror and the Light and have been a bit afraid of reading it. The rest of these, I don't know about. While I'd like to fix that in July, I don't know about that either.

>9 LizzieD: I thought The Mirror and the Light was fabulous. Why are you afraid of reading it, Peggy?

>10 lauralkeet: I am afraid I'll be terribly affected by Cromwell's end, Laura. I'm sure that it's fabulous. I also have that hoarding thing going on.

>11 LizzieD: ahhh, okay. I get that. I thought perhaps you were afraid the book wouldn't live up to your expectations, in which case I would have stepped in to disabuse you of that notion.
