What is your impression of Belk?

I think the man is about to have a heart attack!

He's not the most dynamic of lawyers, (nowhere near as showy as Chandler, unfortunately), and he may not appear wholeheartedly to believe in Bosch's case, but I think he's managing to score the odd point for his side.

>2 Sergeirocks: LOL! Maybe if he will have the attack and get it over with, Harry can get a lawyer that cares enough to try to win. Belk hs become what many lawyers become...disillusioned...and he's terrified of Honey Chandler. He's obviously made no preparation to give any defense for Harry. He's just showing up and "doing his job" or as much of it as he has to do. Too bad he's the departments lawyer and assigned to this case.

>2 Sergeirocks: Chandler is over the top....but I have seen lawyers like her. She is very, very good at what she does...it's just unfortunate that she doesn't have more compassion in her make-up.

I think he's doing better than I expected at the beginning. Honey Chandler is definitely the better attorney and it's obvious she's done a lot of work in preparing her case and witnesses.

>2 Sergeirocks: - When I got divorced many years ago, my husband had a fantastic lawyer who kicked my #ss. I was lucky to get out with my retirement intact, but he got everything else in the tradeoff. I recommended her several times to people going through divorce and they always made out better.

>4 Olivermagnus: I think that was very magnanimous of you, Lynda. I don't think I could have sent business her way (unless it was for a close family member).

I think Belk may be the underdog lawyer but I can see him getting lucky and winning the case for Bosch and showing up Chandler.

>4 Olivermagnus: I'd have sent Oliver to pay him a visit! If he couldn't take a chunk out of leg he could always pee in his shoes. That was extremely magnanimous of you.

I think he's a decent lawyer, but his stress level seems to be rising. He is having a hard time on this one and letting the case rest on Harry's testimony. I hope this doesn't backfire on him.

I think he’s one of those understated guys (not quite a Columbo...) but he does pull a few punches. I agree with his earlier statement that this whole case rides on Harry’s testimony. Therefore he’s less invested in other testimony. That has tripped him up..but he’s smart and has scored points. Definitely not as flashy as Money. But i think he’s gonna pull it out in the end

>4 Olivermagnus: I agree

I think he’s competent, but not very exciting. He’s also upset with Bosch that this had to go to trial when they had the opportunity to settle it.
