Found: Zombie virus on large spaceships in space

I’m trying to find a book about a girl who is dating a guy, I think from another spaceship. He gets sent out on a lot of missions so they communicate by futuristic email.

Around the middle of the book, a capsule of people from another spaceship arrives, on the girl’s spaceship I think, and they are being quarantined. The people in the capsule turn into intelligent zombies with really good hearing and escape the quarantine. Then the ship gets overrun and everyone gets turned. So the girl has to survive in the ship and get to the control bay or something. I don’t remember much else.

In the book some of the pages are like ‘audio files’ or like part of a diary and computer logs.
