I read this book between 2010-2015, I remember it being about a girl who loses her mother, I think she dies of cancer? The girl goes to live with her father, and most of the book is about her navigating life without her mom & living with her dad.
There’s a plot twist at the end about her dad but I can’t remember what it is exactly.
There’s a woman her dad is friends with who the main character describes as looking like Cameron Diaz, that’s an oddly specific part of the story I remember.
I think the title is something like “what my mother doesn’t know” or “what my mother never told me” but when I Google those titles, nothing comes up.

I think you're mixing up two books by the same author: What My Mother Doesn't Know by Sonya Sones and One of Those Hideous Books Where the Mother Dies also by Sonya Sones. The 2nd one fits your plot description. They're both novels in verse.
