First was Fear, then came Rage, now we have Peril, written with co-author Robert Costa, a Washington Post national political reporter -- the three volume analysis of Trump and his presidency. While scheduled for release a week from today, the talk of D.C., political wonks and talking heads have already got their advance copies and are all a-buzz. It's being hyped as containing. . .

. . ."never-before-seen material from secret orders, transcripts of confidential calls, diaries, emails, meeting notes and other personal and government records."

The book's title comes from a line in Biden's inaugural address.

"Over the centuries through storm and strife, in peace and in war, we have come so far. But we still have far to go. We will press forward with speed and urgency, for we have much to do in this winter of peril and possibility."

Published by Simon & Schuster that published the previous two volumes. Will be released in e-book, Audiobook, and hardcover 9/21/2021.

From the back jacket, regarding Trump's ambitions for 2024. . .

"He had an army. An army for Trump. He wants that back," Brad Parscale, Trump's former campaign manager, said privately in July 2021. "I don't think he sees it as a comeback. He sees it as vengeance."

Having read the first two I will not be rushing to get the third. Three books aren't needed to cover this idiot's four years in the White House. It is covered in the last line of the last page of "Fear."

Not planning on reading it. I may be missing something by skipping this sort of book, but since the novel revelations are generally summarized in one or both of the two newspapers I receive every morning, I'm not too concerned about it.

Not planning to read, but I found Lawrence Wilkerson's latest discussion with Paul Jay (partially sparked by it) to be of immense value.

I abandoned listening to Rage because the interview transcripts were making me nauseous. I’ve got Peril on hold; but may have the same issue with it.
