Fumigation

My apartment will be fumigating for termites in a couple weeks, and in the paperwork they only list people, pets, and plants as needing to be removed. Does fumigation pose a risk to books?

Not directly, but perhaps they might harbor a surface residue, a potential risk to you and your pets, but that depends on what they use. You should check with the pest people.
