Search for FreeCompactDisc.
There are several versions with different dates (... (yyyy-MM-dd)) and one catch-all (... (unknown)) version.
Go into one of the dated versions, and navigate to Common Knowledge.
In the Canonical and Alternative titles, the title is displayed as FreeCompactDisc (or FCD) ( yyyy) not FreeCompactDisc (yyyy-MM-dd). It's the same when you click on the pencil to edit. (The original publication date displays correctly as yyyy-MM-dd.)
As there were 8 promo CDs released across 2004-2005, it is important to know which release going by the full date as otherwise the only way to distinguish them is between the sleeve artwork (not always available) and the track lists.

Think this will be related to other bug reports for how CK fields interpret a year when it's included in parentheses. Eg.: https://www.librarything.com/topic/145603
>1 Maddz: Text within square brackets doesn't get interpreted by CK in the same way, so for https://www.librarything.com/work/24948191 a canonical title of "FreeCompactDisc [2004-11-27]", similar for each of these FCD titles you have, could be an option you want to use. Might be square brackets are preferable for clarification notes in a title, since I see them commonly used in similar circumstances to clarify such as [movie] or [adaptation] in the title CK fields.

The square brackets can get confusing if anyone ever tries to touchstone the work. I like to use curly brackets { } as I don't think those are used for anything else on the site.

Looks like the titles posted in >1 Maddz: were edited to use curly brackets; if there's a good live example of this please let me know! Thanks.

>4 kristilabrie: Apologies, but I was getting problems with merged records until I replaced the with {}. Unfortunately, the Nov 27, 2004 and the Dec 3, 2005 promos seemed to desire to stay together. Must be a nasty case of insta-love...
Feel free to change them back - perhaps the Alternative Titles only leaving the Canonical Title alone?

No worries, and thanks, I'll make note.
