Found: Mixed time children’s book

I read a book years and years ago about a kid who moves house and when they are in the garden they see a child in the garden behind through the fence. This child is dressed in old fashioned clothes and, I’m sure, was a girl. They begin a friendship and the child notices that the girl is often coughing into a handkerchief and coughing up blood. Turns out she’s got consumption. I can’t remember the ending or the title and it’s frustrating me! Any help soooo appreciated
