What happens: When I scan a bar code using the British Library as a source I often endup with the wrong version of the book i.e. the ebook, and the ISBN is set at the ebook version not the one I just scanned. In all cases I have checked the correct version is in the catalogue and found correctly if I search by ISBN on the website.
What I expect to happen: the correct version of a title is chosen and the ISBN is not changed.

Thanks for the report, sorry for the trouble. Can you give a couple of specific examples so I can test this out?

This sounds like the old bug where a library lists multiple ISBNs in one record and the search matches for one of them but LT just pulls the first ISBN which may or may not be the one in the search

>3 tallpaul: Thanks. I wasn't able to reproduce manually searching those ISBNs, and I tried scanning a number of my own books and couldn't reproduce (though many of the books weren't found from the British Library).
I'm assuming you're scanning the ISBNs in the LT App, yes? Do you have the iOS app or the Android version?
Looking at In the same light (https://www.librarything.com/work/27854997/editions), I see one ebook and the rest print editions. Searching the actual British Library catalogue for either of those ISBNs gives me the same record, where they have both ISBNs listed (the ebook is listed first in the record).

We'll need to make sure we're grabbing the right ISBN and not just the first one in the record. Passing this to developers once I get app info from OP.

For developers:
1. Go to the British Library catalogue (http://explore.bl.uk/primo_library/libweb/action/search.do) and search for 9781800172128 - see one record.
2. Now, search for 9781800172135 - see one record (same record listed in #1).
3. Look at the details of the record. Note two ISBNs listed in the record, the ebook's listed first.
While I'm unable to physically scan the problem book's barcode (and I cannot reproduce on any of my books that I've tested), the OP reports scanning the print version ISBN in the Android App but we're adding the first ISBN to their library. Can we check to see how we're adding the ISBN through the App to make sure we're grabbing the right one (and not just the first)?

>5 kristilabrie: It's the Android app.
It's not consistent, in that some books come up correctly. I scanned in 3 books fine today, but 3 of the 6 yesterday had to be corrected. These were all poetry as were, I think maybe half of the 62 I corrected recently. That might just be the biases of my collection. I have a lot of poetry and at least 24 more every year (from a Poetry Book Society subscription) though this was also why I use this source.
I forgot to mention it also effects Overcat when the record originates from the BL.
I also checked two that scanned in correctly Notes from an Island appears in the BL in a similar format to the two I listed earlier (all NON_PRINT_LEGAL_DEPOSIT). Scanning Revolutionary Letters picked up the correct edition but the BL catalogue only seems to find old editions.
