Found: Help please

An FBI agent (woman) goes undercover and poses as a magazine article writer and says they are writing an article on a guys horse ranch, when in reality they believe the guys ranch is moving drugs and she is there to find evidence of it. The owner knows he's under suspicion and knows she's really an agent but doesn't let on that he knows and instead they get close and it appears that the drug cartel is trying to use part of his ranch on the outskirt to move drugs without his knowledge. Towards the end of the book they get into a shootout with the cartel and she is whisked away by the FBI to track down the leader to bring him in and they end up meeting again at the end of the book and live happily ever after.
