I've been gone for a small amount of days and golly. There's a ton of new groupchats and they all seem very repetitive

Okay- All of these groups/chats are really weird. Someone posted CP which if found on your computer you could go to jail for and not many people enjoy time(or for others, cops) Please go back and check the rules which Aspirit posted because this is getting really out of hand. With all that said I think I'm going to be taking a break from LB. Or not ever coming back to this site...

I think you were in the hospital at the time? Since December there was a real increase in rude behavior and link-related spam across Talk, but especially off-topic in groups monitored by a lot of people. It got so bad, causing upset/annoyance with long-term members and was giving staff so much extra work, that they finally had to say no more. This is a cataloging site, not a place to coordinate getting around internet filters. Plus, the rudeness! Acting entitled that the rest of Talk/LT should let them do whatever they wanted, like they were the Spanish rolling into Hispaniola in 1492.

One of the things the LT staff have been doing is removing the link threads or anything that violates TOS, so it's not an attractive nuisance (or pushing the SEO up), and to improve the experience of using Talk. They started hiding posts where the account has been removed, too, so you're not scrolling through pages of "This account has been removed due to spam." messages. Admins can lock topics, too, when they don't want more posts to them.
