My first thought was to check the Eyewitness Books. That took me to Christopher Gravett’s author page. And he seems to be an expert in those areas.

What audience did you have in mind? Something image-heavy (and general, and kid-friendly), like the Eyewitness Books 2wonderY suggested? Something more textual, like Barbara Tuchman's A Distant Mirror: The Calamitous 14th Century or some of the more recent Plantagenet biographies about people like Richard I and Eleanor of Aquitaine?

>4 Marissa_Doyle: Hello. :) Thank you kindly for responding. I guess more textual books that provide deeper and more comprehensive overviews of my listed subjects: knights, castles, chivalry, etc. Images are lovely - but richly worded and informative text is more important to me.

>6 karenb: Hello. :) Thank you kindly for responding. Just any comprehensive historical books that cover my listed subjects within Britain during the Middle Ages.

The Age of Faith by Will Durant may still have some mileage on it, although it looks outside of Britain too.
