Are series touchstones working?

I could be wrong, but the series touchstone in my post https://www.librarything.com/topic/342656#7906340 for The Stranger Times goes to the first book, also called The Stranger Times although I have checked and also retyped the triple brackets.

The touchstones on the right of the message box indicate that one is for the series and the other is for the book, though.

Do you mean in the Preview? Preview never worked with Series touchstones - see this old and still open bug: https://www.librarything.com/topic/334177 and see specifically https://www.librarything.com/topic/334177#7575033 for what replaces what when...

If not, where exactly are they not working for you?

To clarify:

a) Book touchstone with single brackets: The Stranger Times - brings up the book in the message side bar.

b) Series touchstone with triple brackets: The Stranger Times - brings up the series touchstone in the message side bar.

So far, so good. Now to save and see what happens ...

ETA: hovering over the links or clicking on them - both take me to the book page whereas the series touchstone should take me to the series page (and usually, I think, shouldn't show anything when I hover over it). Do they work properly for you?

I'm using Safari and this happens both on my iMac and on my iPad.

Foreigner - the book for test is for example Precursor.

The series touchstones worked and went to the series until I also added a touchstone to the work in the same message - and that confused it completely.

So if there is a work and a series that share a name, they get messed up and the series touchstone gets killed and doubles the book one (because of the same name I suspect).

A book and series are ok as long as they have different names (see the Foreigner links above).

Fixed this. It was an issue when multiple types of touchstones had the same text.
