Why would the suspect have a camera on him? Why not digital?

Can’t figure that out why a regular not digital camera would matter.

I could only think to take pictures of the ‘art’. Why it wouldn’t be digital int his age I am not sure.

Can’t hazard a guess on this one.

I know nothing of the art of photography or the differences between digital and film. I was always the Instamatic type picture taker. ‘Point and click’. I do wonder if there is something in the developing process that could give different results. As it processes could there be a phantom clue?

There are a lot of photographers that still prefer film as they fell it gives more depth to the photo. Similar to audiophiles that prefer records over cds
