Time to select the books we'd like to have as group reads for the end of 2022. Please nominate up to two books and second as many nominated books as you like. Nominations will close in around a week.

I am going to propose that we read one very long book over two months (since I have a LOT of 600+ page books left on the list to read).

My nominations would be Celestial Harmonies* and The Discovery of Heaven.

*already conveniently broken into two books.

Or not. I Didnt mean to shut down nominations for shorter books.

I second Celestial Harmonies. I should be done with Anniversaries by then and ready to start another biggie.

In the absence of other nominations we’ll make our November and December group read Celestial Harmonies by Peter Esterhazy.

I just received a copy in the mail. Wow, it is huge! I wish an electronic version was available.
Looks interesting though.

>6 annamorphic: It's only 43% the length of Anniversaries! My copy is about 850 pages and there are at least 31 books on the list that are longer than this one. ;)

ETA: although the lack of electronic format will be a challenge, I admit.
