Put simply Maura, Gray Pierce is the real hero of the books. The Guild are the baddies and Seichan used to be an assassin for the Guild but has come over to the Sigma Team and there seems to be some connection between Seichan and Gray.

A classic case of goodies and baddies, with a historical backdrop to each of the books along with some political intrigue.

So Painter Crowe is the level headed strategist and benevolent leader. Grey Pierce is the shoot from the hip action arm of the unit if you will. Seichan is the relentless assassin with a heart of gold. I can't wait for you guys to read the reunion with her mother in The Eye of God. Kowalski it the loyal brute and muscle and oftentimes without meaning to be, the comic relief. Kat and Monk completes the team and are really what I would call the swiss army knife of the collective. That's my two cents.
